Saving, reopening, and bypassing

PhaseLock saves its correction and control state with the DAW session, including groups, references, per-lane settings, manual offsets, polarity overrides, and the data needed to restore the displays. Group locks are saved too, so a reopened session still protects the groups you locked.

Save the DAW session after analysis and after making manual changes.

Opening a saved session

When a saved session reopens, PhaseLock restores the settings and corrections to the matching instances. Give the DAW time to load every PhaseLock instance before making reference changes.

Run Analyze again if the audio, routing, plugin order, sample rate, or connected instances no longer match the saved analysis. PhaseLock marks display data as stale when it can detect a mismatch.

Comparing the result

Use the control that matches what you want to compare:

• Coherence: Bypassed compares polarity and all-pass processing while leaving Time Alignment as configured.
• Time Align: Bypassed compares original and shifted timing while leaving Phase Coherence as configured.
• The DAW’s plugin bypass compares the complete PhaseLock correction on an individual instance.

When Time Alignment is active, PhaseLock keeps the bypassed signal at the same reported delay, so the comparison does not jump in time against the other compensated tracks.

Global Bypass

Global Bypass, in the header, turns off every PhaseLock instance in the session at once. Use it to compare the whole corrected mix against the original tracks without reaching for each instance’s bypass by hand. Switch it off to restore every correction, each lane returning to its configured state.
