Got a review? Send it to us. Email hello@jelly.audio and we’ll add it here.I tried this against Auto-Align. PhaseLock wins.
Spent an hour shooting it out against Auto-Align 2 in a session. PhaseLock was just immediately easier to use. … Absolute bravo, will be buying today.
When comparing it against Auto-Align 2, it outperformed it—the transients felt less mushy, and the low end was much more present.
It added extra weight to both kick and snare while sounding more natural than Auto-Align and definitely smoother transients and bigger low end than the raw recordings.
I LOVE that this is tackling the phase coherence issue with the option to not nudge the audio around. Brilliant.
Honestly it just worked … 20 seconds to understand the gui and 5 seconds to make it sound as needed.
I used to use Melda MAutoAlign before I found PhaseLock. It’s great across several mics on a cab. Very intuitive and easy to use.
Wow this really works great. Had a drum track with 5 room mics and phase was way off. This completely made the recording sound better.
It really works like magic. … It’s incredibly useful and it works genuinely so well so that’s the most important thing to me.
Honestly think it’s awesome. … I’ve held off on buying Auto-Align 2 mostly due to the price. You’ve built a better option.
[It] has beat Auto-Align 2 on every comparison I’ve thrown at it. … I’ll be buying this instantly.
Sounds unreal. … the fullness it’s giving with all the room mics to is mad … I’ve got Auto-Align by Sound Radix but this is a different level.
This is freaking incredible. I’m really impressed … I would pay 200, 400, 500 bucks for something like this.
I’ve tried stuff like Auto-Align but its only really been useable when there are serious problems other wise has always sounded very unnatural to me. This has instantly felt like it does that work for me.
I bet it’s already saved me hours of time in the couple weeks I’ve had it. … Saving like 20 to 30 minutes a mix is actually a life-changing difference for me in this season of my life.
I definitely need to get a copy of this though it’s sounds so much better … I tried it against Sound Radix Auto-Align 2 and Melda MAutoAlign and this beat them hand down.
Time alignment +phase rotation performs similarly to Drum Gate 2 but PhaseLock has more bass in the kick. Auto-Align 2 [is] noticeably narrow sounding when using this alignment.
The results are effortlessly better than what I was getting with Melda MAutoAlign, and less convoluted. … Really this might be what I’ve always wanted!
When I’m using this plugin, I find that I’m able to get a lot more weight and overall clarity in my drums.
The timing section sounded almost identical to Auto-Align, which is a good selling point because Auto-Align is expensive …
I’ve struggled with previous offerings like the one Sound Radix Auto-Align 2, and other offerings from Nugen Audio. … I can confirm [PhaseLock] delivers on the coherence you mentioned. It makes mixing drums more fun to work with now that I’m not fighting against "the thinning". Really well done. … This sounds better than Drum Gate 2
The biggest testament to how awesome this is was from how it made the "crotch mic" useful.
It’s just crazy how every percussive multi-microphone recording instantly gains so much more power and brilliance.
Getting to test PhaseLock was genuinely one of the highlights of my year.
I’ve been testing this out on the road with Josh Turner and so far I love it. Super easy to use and quick. … I was using the Yamaha plugin to align everything and I wasn’t always happy with the results. I switched to PhaseLock and so far it’s giving more consistent results.
I’m primarily a drummer and do a lot of remote work as well and I’m quite stuck in my ways with checking phase before hitting record but I was surprised by how much this still added. When turned on there was way more low mid energy for the whole kit.
Two mics, one clean and a second through an amp. Everything I tried with lining them up / flipping the phase just wasn’t working. Always sound hollow like a wired flanger was on. This plug in FIX IT!
I found it useful on multiple multi mic sources. Not just drums. It set me up very well on a poorly recorded drum kit that I received for mixing and brought a bass DI and amp signal into a great partnership where I normally would’ve just used one of the two to avoid phase issues.
It’s super effective for phase correction not just on recorded sources but also on EDM kicks, 808s, etc. … The existing products were hard to use because of their latency too, and a lot of times manual alignment was just faster.
This plugin is so good. Not just for live stuff but also layering samples/guitar tones. My dream plugin
It’s crazy because I don’t entirely understand what’s happening, but the result is obvious. I mean, it’s obviously better.
I am using it on my drums as the first plugin for my live room and it sounds great.
Already seeing improvement in my DIY drum recordings. Helping the transients punch through. … I’m hooked on it lol, not sure I can do with out it now.
I knew my phase issues between the set could use some help, but I had no idea it could be easily managed in an plug in like this though … minutes into loading it up, and I’m already blown away.
It’s become a massive game changer for me and I have immediately incorporated it into my mix prepping.
Amazing plug in that absolutely works and works quickly. … I love how you can still affect the individual channels from one instance of the plug in.
I’ve used them all, Auto-Align, Sonnox, Sound Radix Pi - PhaseLock is the best.
I think this is better than Auto-Align 2 but no one ever knows how to do phase in the beginning. This is going in my templates when you release for sure.
[PhaseLock] is changing the music I’m making for the better.
